I too found myself on a similar journey over 25 years ago. I had a desire to do more than just be an employee. I wanted to be in control of my own destiny set my own rules and pay the price or reap the rewards for the decision I made. They call us risk takers, self-made people, entrepreneurs but bottom line is we just want to give it a go, go hard and reap the results that hopefully lead to success and a better life for ourselves and our loved ones. Thankfully in my case I now have a number of very successful businesses that I have had to work very hard at over the years. It wasn’t easy and there were a lot of highs and lows but nothing comes easy. There is nothing quite so satisfying as winning the battle against the odds and I hope you too win the battles you will face on your journey.

There is a saying like Father like son but in our case it’s like father like daughter. I am so proud to now be working together with the founder and co-owner of Blessed Bowls, my daughter Ella. To see her drive and commitment to her brand is incredible and inspiring. She has a never say never attitude and a desire to give each of our customers the very best experience every time they visit, and that is what brings success. To be honest, I had a lot of concerns when it came to turning Blessed Bowls into a franchise model. It’s one thing to open your own business and take the risks and make the decisions each day that can lead to success or failure but it’s a lot different to give up that control and let others do it on their own. However, research and facts convinced me that if we believe in our brand which we do, and we have already proven in many different locations that customers love what we sell. A blessed bowls franchisee can be successful if they put in the time, choose the right location at the right rental price and control the overheads, then I feel comfortable letting other likeminded people be part of this amazing journey.
